Leadership & Governance

The Board of Directors of the Upper Cumberland Association of REALTORS® provides strategic leadership, fiduciary oversight, and governance for the Association. The Board is responsible for setting organizational direction, adopting policies, ensuring financial stewardship, and upholding the mission and values of UCAR.

Board members are REALTOR® volunteers elected by the membership and represent a diverse cross-section of markets, experience levels, and leadership backgrounds across the Upper Cumberland region.
 

Board Responsibilities

The Board of Directors:

• Establish UCAR’s strategic vision and priorities
• Approves the annual budget and financial policies
• Ensures compliance with state, national, and ethical standards
• Supports advocacy efforts that protect private property rights
• Provides leadership continuity and accountability

UCAR operates under a governance model that empowers volunteer leaders to focus on strategy and vision, while professional staff manage day-to-day operations.

Board members serve not only as decision-makers, but as ambassadors for professionalism, integrity, and service throughout the region.
